The Role of Creative Hubs in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly

My Approach

Cornwall is the UK’s leading rural creative economy. In 2021, Cornwall Council published a Creative Manifesto (2021-2025), which outlined the centrality of the sector to Cornwall’s future. Creative Hubs are key to the development of talent in the creative sector. They enable creatives to collaborate and offer space to develop their skills and businesses, especially in a rural area like Cornwall. Building on this context and drawing on funding from Research England, Falmouth University and Cornwall Council decided to co-publish a report, which both deepens our understanding of the current situation and outlines a series of recommendations for future policy development.

I worked with both Falmouth University and Cornwall Council to design and layout the report. Using the University’s brand guidelines and imagery supplied I created an editorial piece that is easy to read and accessible. To highlight important facts and figures I put together a set of infographics. I believe these helped to breakdown and visualise the information. As part of this work, I also created a digital presentation so that the main content of the report could be clearly presented to a key audience in an impactful way.
